About the app steps: the website steps in this tutorial are verified with our own genuine screenshots. The in-app steps (steps 3–7) were cross-checked on 21 October 2026 against a public video walkthrough of the current app (uploaded September 2026) and two independent written guides, which agree on the sequence. No video frames are used on this page, and the article keeps its partially-verified label until the app screens are captured first-hand.
PakID (PAK IDENTITY) is NADRA’s online service for identity-document applications: apply online, pay online, and get home delivery. One important update: account registration has moved. The website no longer has a sign-up form, registration happens inside the official PAK-ID mobile app, and the website is used to log in after that. This tutorial follows the real, current screens, verified with genuine screenshots on 21 October 2026.
Before you start
- Your own mobile phone with your own SIM (for the app registration).
- An email address you can open (the web login uses EMAIL + PASSWORD).
- Never enter your CNIC, password or any code on any website other than the official addresses in this guide, and never on this website.
Security rules
NADRA never asks for your password or codes by phone. If someone offers to “make your PakID account” for a fee, refuse: registration is done by you, in the official app, exactly as the steps above show. This tutorial is marked for review whenever the PakID interface changes.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1 Open the official PakID page
Type this address exactly: id.nadra.gov.pk/e-id/, the PakID landing page opens with the heading 'Online Application, Online Payment & Home Delivery' and two buttons, 'Register An Account' and 'Login With Existing Account'. Note: opening the shorter address id.nadra.gov.pk alone can show an 'Access Denied' page; the /e-id/ address is the working entry.
Expected result: You see the PakID landing page with the two account buttons.
2 Click 'Register An Account', and read the notice carefully
The website does NOT open a sign-up form. It opens an 'Account Creation' page that says account registration is done in the PAK-ID mobile application, with QR codes for the App Store and Google Play. This is the genuine current process, any website showing you a PakID 'registration form' outside the app is not official.
Expected result: You see the Account Creation notice with the app QR codes and a 'Back to Login' button.
3 Install the official PAK-ID app and tap 'Register'
Scan the QR code on the Account Creation page with your phone camera, or install the PAK-ID app published by NADRA from the App Store / Google Play. Open the app: on the 'Welcome to PakID' screen, tap the white 'Register' button (next to the green 'Login' button).
Expected result: The app's 'Create Account' form opens.
4 Fill the Create Account form, in this exact order
The form asks, in order: Nationality (choose 'Pakistani National (CNIC/NICOP/POC)'), Country (Pakistan), Mobile Operator (for example Zong), Contact Number, Email, Password and Confirm Password. Then it asks 'Do you have Computerized National ID Card?', on Yes, enter your Identity Card Number and its Issue Date (or your Date of Birth). Then press 'Next'. Two things people get wrong: the mobile number must be digits only after the country code and must NOT start with zero (the app shows an alert if it does), and there is no name field, do not look for one. Always use your own personal mobile number; NADRA uses it for future correspondence.
Expected result: The form accepts your details and moves to verification.
5 Enter the verification codes sent to your email AND mobile
The 'Email/Mobile Verification' screen asks for the code sent to your email and your mobile number. Enter the codes exactly as received. Never share these codes with anyone, NADRA staff never ask for them.
Expected result: Your email and mobile are verified.
6 Complete biometric verification: face photo, then fingerprints
Registration includes two biometric steps inside the app. First 'Face ID Verification': tap to capture a photo of your face against a plain white background, in good front light, face inside the frame, without hat, glasses or mask. Then the fingerprint step: select the fingers shown (left/right hand, thumbs) and scan them as the app directs. If a capture fails, improve the light and try again, a failed first attempt is normal.
Expected result: Both biometric checks are accepted.
7 Read the success message: 'Verification successful'
When everything passes, the app shows a green checkmark with 'Verification successful' and tells you your account has been successfully verified and to proceed to your login page. Your login is the email and password you set in the registration form, the password is created in the form itself, not after verification.
Expected result: Your PakID account is ready to log in.
8 Log in on the website with your new account
Back on the website, choose 'Login With Existing Account'. The login page asks for three things: your EMAIL, your PASSWORD, and the CODE shown in the picture (a captcha). Type the code exactly as shown and press LOGIN. The same page has 'Create New Account' (which returns to the app notice) and 'Forgot Password?' for account recovery.
Expected result: You are signed in to your PAK-IDENTITY account and can start or track applications.
Popular Questions
PakID account kaise banaye, web par form kyun nahi hai?
NADRA has moved registration to the PAK-ID mobile app. The website's Register button now opens a notice page with the app's QR codes. Registration happens inside the app; the website is used to log in afterwards.
Can I use my brother's mobile number for registration?
Use your own number and email. The account controls your identity documents, and login recovery depends on them.
id.nadra.gov.pk shows Access Denied. Is the site down?
The portal root can show an Access Denied page to some visitors. Use the full entry address id.nadra.gov.pk/e-id/ instead.

Update History
- 21 October 2026: In-app registration steps expanded from a single summary step to the full verified sequence (form order, mobile-number zero rule, OTP to email and mobile, face + fingerprint biometric verification, success message), cross-checked against a public video walkthrough of the current app.
- 21 October 2026: CORRECTION: An earlier version of this tutorial described a web sign-up form with OTP verification.
